Do you have any articles on upholstering auto seats etc in cloth material. What % of nylon etc is best for wear resistance in upholstery cloth?

As you will see most car seat upholstery is done with a prefabricated skin.
This makes much easier than starting from nothing.
You can buy these skins most anywhere on the net.
100% Nylon would be the fabric for wear
