New at upholstery, I have a barrel back wing chair.

I am having a hard time getting the inside back cover on. The upholstery fabric does not have stretch. And the fabric has stripes both ways. Help! How do I get the fabric to cover and also the stripes to be straight???

Hi Nancy

You have pick one the hardest upholstery projects to start, especially with stripes both ways, if you are new at upholstery.
If the fabric does not have much stretch you are going to have a hard time.
I would suggest taking it to an upholsterer to do the inside back and then you can do the rest.
