Unglue wood?

by George
(ABQ, NM)

I have a arm chair with a wooden web under each arm. They are glued in place (probably abt 1960). How can I remove the webs from the chair arms?

Hi George

Looks like you want to keep the wooden webbing.
You are going to have to heat the glue so I would suggest renting a steamer.
The steam should be hot enough to soften the glue with out damaging the wood.
