Let the Upholstery Yardage Chart Do the Estimating for You.
Let my upholstery yardage chart do the work for you in trying to find the perfect fabric and the right amount of yardage which be a time consuming job.

Yardage estimates on the chart below are figured on solid patterns and does not account for things like, but not limited to: Cording being cut on the Bias, Material with a repeat pattern in one or both directions, Head or arm covers, loose back cushions instead of attached cushions, self-lined skirt, material railroaded or not, and others.

These estimated yardages are based on basic solid fabrics, doing a very basic upholstery job. Please adjust yardages for your specific upholstering style, material being used and design difference in the exact piece you are covering.
Most of your Upholstery fabric is 54 inches wide and you will find some that go to 62 inches wide (mostly for Automobiles). Fabric for draperies is normally less than 54" so be careful on the width. Buying your fabric is by the lineal or running yard, so for example 1 yd long and 54" wide which is 1 1/2yd wide, you end up with a total of 1 & ½ square yards. When you go to my estimator yardage chart this is using the 54' wide fabric. Remember, this chart is only a guide.
